A Salina man was shot this morning at the Howard Johnson Inn located at 222 E Diamond Dr.

Police say that the victim had no connection to the shooter prior to the incident. He was sent to the hospital between 4 and 5 this morning with a wound in the lower right abdomen.

The bullet missed any major vitals and the victim, a male in his 30’s, was treated and released.

The Salina Police Department has a possible suspect for this morning’s attempted murder and are currently investigating the crime.
