Police are investigating a theft by deception case that originated on Craigslist.

Two counterfeit bills were used in Salina this week. Police say a Domino’s Pizza driver was duped in the dark outside an apartment in the 100 block of N. Wisconsin, after a white male convinced the employee he lived there and paid for the pizza with a fake $50 bill. Management discovered the bogus bill when the driver returned to the Domino’s location at 2100 S. 9th.

A counterfeit $20 bill was also used at Casey’s, 110 E. Iron sometime between 10pm on Tuesday and 5am Wednesday. Store management found the bill as they were putting together a deposit for the bank.
