Media Reports Led Woman to Contact Sheriff

KSAL Staff - March 26, 2015 11:16 am

Another person contacts authorities after their windshield was hit by an object thrown from a passing car.

Captain Roger Soldan with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office tells KSAL News that Selinda Martin was traveling northbound on Old 81 Highway on Tuesday evening when a car she described as silver or gray with dark tinted windows drove by her traveling southbound.

She told deputies the windshield on her 2007 Lincoln MKZ was struck by something causing $500 damage.

She contacted the Sheriff’s Office after seeing media reports on Wednesday that helped her link the details together at what had possibly happened.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two white males who shattered windshields on three other vehicles on Tuesday evening on E. K4 Highway, Old 81 Highway and Burma Road.

Anyone with information about these incidents is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office or Crimestoppers at 785-825-TIPS.
