Man Hit By Car After Hitting Deer

A man standing outside his vehicle after hitting a deer late Friday night is hit and killed by another vehicle.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Boe Keesling of Lyons was standing on the road outside of his disabled SUV after he hit a deer. A car came upon the scene, and hit both the SUV and pedestrian.

Keesling was killed. Three people in the car, a 33-year-old passenger and two children, were tranported to the hospital in Lyons.

The accident happened at 7:48 Friday night on a rural road in Rice County eleven miles southeast of Lyons.
