A Salina woman runs to her neighbor’s home after being hurt by a male acquaintance.

Police officers were called to a central Salina home on Wednesday at 1:38pm.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, medics treated a female in her late 30’s for a small cut on her face. Police say she also had a black eye, swollen nose and lip along with bruises on her throat.

A short time later officers arrested 39-year-old Damon Allen at a house in the 500 block of Morrison.

Police say he allegedly pushed the woman’s head into a mirror, dragged her into the kitchen and slammed her head against a countertop before choking her with two hands.

Allen is now facing a charge of aggravated battery.

What no comments? I know this site is done and probably will not be up here much longer. But where are all the people who were outraged by what the county commissioner said? Here is one of their own that fits the word to a T. The black community should be up in arms as should those in the white community that had so much to say. This is 1000 times more serious that someone white using the N word.
