A 24-year-old Junction City man was arrested and booked yesterday by Salina police.

Michael Diederich, now 24, has been charged with 15 cts. of rape. The victim, under the age of 14 when the crimes took place back in 2008, is a Salina resident; the two were acquaintances.

Even five years after her experiences began with Diederich, the victim is still not of consenting age.

No one has to press charges. The State of Kansas presses charges.

Well well well its that old guy with all the id’s trolling on here again Charles Sadler who is not known to anyone. As to the state pressing charges they would need the girl to testify or her parents but after all these years that it has been going on that probably will not cccur. The police can arrest anyone but its proving a case against them.

I don’t know about all of you not being able to read – but clearly is says he has been CHARGED. That means someone is already pressing charges against him. They did not bring him in for questioning in regard to the incident. They arrested him and CHARGED him. So, please, tell me again how you bet no one will press charges.

What was meant and I did was not clear was the gal and family will not press charges. As best said by someone else there is no case if they do not testify against him.
