Jugglers, Dancers, Twirlers, and Santa

The 2015 Salina Mayor’s Christmas Party had it all Sunday afternoon, fun and entertainment for the entire family. For the 36th year in a row the City of Salina hosted the free holiday event.

The party this year included dancers, jugglers, twirlers, prizes, and of course an appearance by Santa.

The entertainment included performances from Vivette’s Dance Studio and also the Parks & Rec Dancers and Baton Twirlers.

The featured entertainment was Flying Debris. Juggler Richard H0lmgren wowed the crowd, doing such things as juggling five balls at once, juggling machetes, and even catching a bowling ball with his face.

Multiple door prizes were given away, highlighted by a Kenwood Cove youth season pass and a bicycle.

The highlight was a visit from the North Pole. Santa made an appearance, handing out candy canes and talking with children.

The Salina Mayor’s Christmas Party has been an event hosted by the Salina Parks and Recreation Department since 1979.
