Help Sought Again in Unsolved Murder

Authorities are again asking for the public’s help in a case involving the unsolved murder of a Saline County woman.

Just before 8pm on June 25th, deputies were sent to 10525 S. Hopkins Road in rural Saline County in reference to a death at the residence. Lori J Heimer, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe she died sometime earlier in that same day.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Heimer maintained a dog breeding business at her home named “Lori’s Poodle Patch”.  She sold a variety of dogs to include poodles, teacup poodles, toy poodles, yorkiepoos, and golden doodles.  Investigators want to speak to anyone that had contact or a business appointment with Heimer from June 20th to June 25th .

Heimer was known to advertise her business in the region’s metropolitan markets, to include Wichita and Kansas City.

Authorities have yet to release the cause of death or information about weapons that may have been involved in the murder.
