The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after windows are smashed on a couple of excavators at a job site.

Deputies say someone broke the glass on two heavy equipment excavators that were parked on a job site along East North Street over the weekend.

The machines are owned by Nowak Construction of Goddard, Kansas, which is working under a city contract on a water line project.

Damage is estimated at $1,300.
