Four Hurt In Crash Late Sunday Night

Four people are hurt when their car hits a disabled vehicle on Interstate 135 in McPherson County late Sunday night.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a small passenger car was disabled and unoccupied in the road after hitting a deer. The unoccupied car was hit by two other vehicles.

No one was hurt in the first car that hit it.

Four people in second car to hit it were hurt. They are identified as 65-year-old Richard Watenpaugh and 54-year-old Elizabeth Watenpaugh both from Lindsborg. Also hurt was 27-year-old Danielle Tongier from Leawood and 27-year-old Henry Tongier from Overland Park. All four were transported to the hospital. All were buckled up.

The crashes happened at 10:21 Sunday night, 5.7 miles north of Moundridge on I 135 in McPherson County.
