A Salina man was arrested on Saturday after leading police on a chase that reached speeds of 80 mph.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that an officer on patrol Saturday around 1:45am attempted to stop a driver who was driving a vehicle with one broken headlight in the 300 block of Charles.

Police say 28-year-old Justin Levin did not stop his Chevy Malibu, but instead sped away reaching 80 mph as he drove to North Broadway. Police called off the pursuit for safety concerns but a short time later found Levin walking in the area of 11th and Broadway and took him into custody after he reportedly resisted arrest.

He is now facing multiple charges that include flee and elude, driving while suspended and reckless driving.
