An Ellsworth County man is killed in a crash on Friday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 66-year-old James Thack from Holyrood was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck headed south on 5th Road in rural Ellsworth County. He failed to yield as he crossed K156 Highway, pulled in front of a semi, and was hit.

Thack was killed in the crash. Troopers say that he was not buckled up. The server of the sem was not hurt. Troopers say that he was buckled up.

The crash happened Friday morning at K156 Highway and 5th Road in Ellsworth County, a half-mile east of Holyrood.
