Drowsy Driver Crashes On Interstate

One person is hurt in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 70 late Monday night.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 23-year-old William Lopiccolo from Fort Riley was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro on the inside lane when he fell asleep. The car entered the median and struck a ditch.

Lopiccolo was not hurt, but a passenger was. 24-year-old
Seth Kaiktsian from Virginia Beach was transported by EMS to the hospital in Manhattan.

Troopers say both men were properly buckled up.

The crash happened at 8:50 Monday night a mile west of the Riley / Wabaunsee County line on Interstate 70.
