A Salina driver that refused to yield to a police officer in a chase last night at 11:00 faces multiple charges.
Sean R. Sheppard, a 29-year-old homeless man, was driving in the area of Prescott and 12th Street when police tried to stop him. Sheppard accelerated, reaching speeds reaching 70mph in the residential neighborhoods, and was eventually stopped at the 1300 block of Kiowa.
Sheppard was attempting to elude because he had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. He is also being charged with flee and elude.
