City Property Damaged at Central Garage

A couple of retired police cruisers are damaged.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, 2 SPD patrol cars were damaged in a lot where they are stored at the city’s central garage, 420 E. Ash sometime between Tuesday night at 9pm and Wednesday morning around 7am.

Police say the windshield on one vehicle was broken the other unit’s hood had extensive dents.

A portion of a wood privacy fence was also pushed outward and damaged. The retired vehicles are used for parts on active cruisers still used by the force.

Damage to property is estimated at $1,838.
