A thief takes keys from a kiosk inside the mall and then steals a car in the parking lot.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that a key fob belonging to a Salina resident was stolen from the Nex-Tech Wireless booth inside Salina’s Central Mall, 2259 S. 9th, on Wednesday evening between 7pm and 7:30pm.

Police say the thief then walked out to the parking lot and drove away in her green, 2006 Saturn Vue.

The compact SUV is valued at $5,000 and has Kansas tag: 933 JDD.
