Car Hits Horse Drawn Trailer

Three people were hurt when a car crashed into a horse drawn trailer in rural Dickinson County Friday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Bridgette Warnke of Abilene was driving a 2010 Nissan Versa, headed north on K43 Highway. She struck a horse drawn trailer that was also headed north.

Warnke, who was buckled up, was hurt. She was transported to the hospital in Junction City.

Two pedestrian were also hurt. They are 15-year-old Micah Leroy Hamilton of Enterprise and 13-year-old MalachiĀ  Leroy Hamilton of Enterprise. Both were transported to the hospital in Abilene.

The accident happened at 3:33 Friday afternoon, a mile south of Detroit, Kansas.
