Arctic Cold, Dangerous Wind Chills

Frigid arctic weather has arrived, bringing with it dangerously cold wind chills, and in some areas light snow.

According to the National Weather Service, dangerous wind chills will encompass all of central Kansas Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Light snow will impact locations generally along and west of I-135 Tuesday and will taper off as the evening hours approach. Between a trace and 2 inches of snowfall is expected.

It looks to be a little warmer on Wednsday, with highs reaching into the upper teens, before a high on New Year’s Day finally reaching above the freezing mark.
