Arrest Made After Woman Choked Unconscious

An incident in which a woman was choked unconscious in Salina has lead to the arrest of a Minneapolis man. Salina Police arrested 25-year-old Brandon Bloom on Monday.

Bloom is accused of  choking a 21-year-old female acquaintance as they sat in her vehicle in the 1900 block of N. 9th, at the Bosselman Travel Center, arguing early Friday morning at about 12:30am. She was choked to the point of unconsciousness.

The woman had red marks and scratches on her throat and bruises on her arm, but did not require medical attention.

Bloom could face multiple charges that include aggravated battery, making criminal threats, and criminal restraint.
