A Salina man has been arrested in connection with a recent high priced heist that included stolen jewelry and guns.

Police say that 37-year-old John Bennett Jr. was arrested Sunday.

Bennett is accused of stealing jewelry including two Rolex watches, a Remington shotgun and a semi automatic rifle. The items were stolen from a duplex in the 500 block of Claflin. Bennett lives in one half of the duplex.

Bennett could face charges that include burglary, theft, and criminal possession of a firearm.

Police say that a portion of the stolen items have been recovered.
