Arrest After Struggle With Police Gun

KSAL Staff - April 13, 2016 11:27 am

A Salina man is facing felony charges after allegedly trying to grab a police officer’s gun.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that officers responded to 1300 Stapler Tuesday night at 9:37 to the report of a domestic disturbance in progress.

While police were at the house, 54-year-old Ronald Lamer allegedly grabbed an officer’s gun, which was in a holster. The officer was able to keep Lamer from getting control of the gun.

Lamer was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on charges that could include aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.

There were no injuries in the incident.
