Salina Police are investigating a burglary and theft case after a washer/dryer set is stolen.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, officers were called to a home in the 100 block of S. 9th after the owner came home from long work assignment to find his backdoor unlocked.

Police say someone entered the house sometime between October 3rd and November 23rd and removed an Amana washer/dryer set, digital alarm clock and a stereo sound system.

Total loss is listed at $2,064.
