Altercation at a Group Home

Negative publicity and low pay has Kansas law enforcement agencies struggling to recruit new officers at a time when agencies have hundreds of openings but not enough qualified applicants to fill them.
Yesterday, three teens got into an altercation at the Making The Connection group home in Salina.
The victims, boys, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were in an argument with a 15-year-old boy. The argument soon escalated when the youngest of the three drew a knife and cut the two older boys.
The cuts were superficial and needed no immediate medical attention. The 15-year-old has been arrested and charged with two cts. of aggravated battery.
