Chad and Hannah from the “Y-Wake Up Show” hit the air running Thursday morning as KSAL’s sister stations Y93.7FM and Sunny 102.5FM kicked off a two day radiothon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“It always blows me away how generous this audience is,” Y93.7’s Chad Allen said Thursday.

“We just open the phone lines and people call and open their hearts and their checkbooks.”

According to Emily Drover with St. Jude’s, sharing what they learn through research wit other organizations is part of thier DNA, “We freely share the breakthroughs that we make,” she said.

“We always say a child saved at St. Jude means that doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more kids.”
