One Arrest After Truckers Clash

One man is taken to the hospital, the other to jail after two truck drivers tangled at the 24/7 Travel Store.

Salina Police officers were sent to 649 Westport Blvd. Thursday night at 11:20pm after an intoxicated trucker tried to enter the wrong semi and then initiated a fight.

Police say 45-year-old Andre Moore of Los Angeles, CA had been drinking and mistook 63-year-old Dennis Kreger’s truck as his.

Both drivers work for A & A Express and were in identical trucks.

Kreger told Moore he had the wrong vehicle – but when Moore could not find a way to enter his own truck came back and pulled Kreger from the cab and beat him.

Kreger, from Huron, S. Dakota was taken to Salina Regional Health Center with a broken eye socket and fractured cheek bone.

Moore was booked into jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
