Vehicle’s Glass Shot Out

Officers respond to a Salina neighborhood after shots are fired.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, police were dispatched to the 900 block of Sherman at 4:10am Sunday morning after residents heard gunfire.

No damage or apparent danger was found after a patrol of the area. Officers were contacted again around 9am after a homeowner in the same block found a bullet hole through the windshield of his 1999 Toyota Avalon.

Police say the bullet hit the headrest inside and then cracked the back glass on the vehicle as well.

Officers found two high caliber shell casings in the street near the intersection of Sherman and Wilson.

Damage is listed at $800.
