Two Women Hurt In Wild Ride

An SUV takes a wild ride before crashing and injuring two women late Monday afternoon in Dickinson County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 50-year-old Doreen Milligan of Clay Center was driving a Ford Explorer north on Camp Road. The SUV ran off the road into the east ditch, continued down the ditch, and jumped a creek. The vehicle then continued down the ditch, crossed back across the road, and ended up in a field on the west side of the road.

Milligan and a passenger, 62-year-old Charlotte Kidwell also from Clay Center, were hurt. Milligan was transported to the hospital in Salina. Kidwell was transported to the hospital in Clay Center.

Troopers say that both women were buckled up.

The crash happened at 3:17 Monday afternoon on Camp Road 5.5 miles north of K-18 Highway.
