Thieves Hit County House

Nearly $3,000 in personal property was stolen from a house in the southwest part of the county.

Saline County Sheriff’s Office was contacted yesterday about the theft at a vacant lot on the 4400 block of Brookville Road where the thief broke into the home through a window. An electric guitar and amp, a 60″ TV, accordian, coins and a pocket watch were stolen from the home for a total loss of $3,000.

The theft happened sometime between the end of August and mid December.
