Gordon A. Kenyon, age 63 of rural Scandia, KS, left this earthly life on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. He was born on October 26, 1954 in Concordia, KS to Orlin L. & Sadie P. (Ames) Kenyon.

Gordon attended Norway grade school and Scandia High School. He was a lifelong area resident and farmer. He married JoAnne P. Carrier on Dec. 21, 1990 in Belleville, KS. Gordon was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Kenyon, rural Scandia; mother, Sadie Kenyon, Concordia; sisters; Ora Lee Jeardoe (Melvin), rural Concordia & Viola Garst (Dennis), rural Scandia; son from a previous marriage, Lance Kenyon-Boyer, Junction City; grandson; Dalton J. Boyer (Trey’Meka Dyke),Manhattan; great grandson, Hayden Boyer, Manhattan; aunts, Marjorie Lundberg, Concordia & Cynthia Larson, Scandia; nephews, Kyle Garst & Kade Garst (Nikki) & their children, Kaison & Kaia, cousins & a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orlin; nephew, David Jeardoe & niece, Jeannette Jeardoe.

The family selected cremation & Memorial services will be announced in the springtime at the Norway Community Center, Norway, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the family or the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
