Myra attended local schools while growing up, and later studied to be, and became, a Registered Nurse in Scotland.

While working as a nurse in the hospital on a Naval base in Scotland, Myra met her future husband, George Grabon, who was stationed there. She later became a traveling Hospice Nurse on Long Island when Andrew entered high school, working as such until she retired in the mid-2000’s. In the early 2010’s Myra and George moved to Kansas to be closer to their son and his family.

Myra enjoyed singing and listening to music, watching birds, looking at flowers, watching classic films, and reading. She was saved in her childhood and always stayed close to the Lord throughout her life. She had a close bond with her sister and brother, and enjoyed chatting with them over the phone when able, along with other friends and family in Scotland.
