Marcella Goodwin

Marcella Goodwin, 89,  died June 29, 2025, in Denison, TX. She was born June 21, 1936, in Ellis, KS, the daughter of Mathias and Regina (Flax) Augustine. Her husband, Glenn Louis Goodwin died December 9, 2016. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Estep and a son, Robert (Clarissa) Goodwin.

Marcella was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and boundless love. She built a life of grace and gentleness, rooted in her Catholic faith and devoted to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Marcella cherished her friends at Stonebrook, where she resided in her later years. She was known as the “Bingo Queen,” always ready with a warm smile, a cheerful greeting, and a twinkle in her eye. She had the gift of making everyone feel welcomed and loved—earning her the title of best friendship greeter.

Her hobbies brought her joy and beauty: she loved to read, sew, and quilt, creating things that wrapped others in comfort. She was an avid collector of dolls, spoons, and bells—each one holding a memory or story. She even raised a few pet chickens that brought her laughter and company.

Marcella’s life was full of small joys and quiet acts of kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, friendship, and faith that will continue to bless those who knew her.
