Low Visibility Contributes To Crash

Two people are transported to the hospital following a crash along Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a semi pulling a trailer was traveling west. Its trailer swung off the edge of the road, kicking up dust and reducing visibility. A car following the semi slowed down and was rear ended by an SUV.

Two people in the car were transported to the hospital. They are 66-year-old Mark Rice and 64-year-old Nellie Rice, both from Branson, Missouri.  Troopers say that both were buckled up.

The crash happened at 2:55 Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County, just east of  K 14 Highway.
