Kansas lawmakers are considering a medical marijuana bill.

Senate Bill 1598 calls for registered patients to be able to use medical marijuana. The Kansas House of Representative approved a House substitute for the bill last year.

KWCH reports that under the proposal, patients would have to apply for and receive a medical cannabis card and have a qualifying medical condition with a doctor’s certification.
