Generator, Chainsaw Stolen from Shed

Investigators from the Saline County Sheriff's Office want to speak with two people as an investigation into a fatal hit and run accident continues.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft near the Saline/Ottawa County border.

Deputies say someone entered a storage shed on a property in the 1400 block of E. Ottawa Road and removed numerous items.

The owner told officers that a Honeywell 5500 watt generator was stolen as well as a Stihl brand chain saw with an 18-inch bar, plus a 5-gallon bucket full of tools were also taken sometime between October 27th and November 1st.

Total loss is listed at $1,200.
