Driver Hitting Cows Hurt

A truck driver is hurt when he hits multiple cows late Tuesday night,

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Matthew Salter from Missouri Valley, Iowa, was driving a Peterbilt semi on K15 Highway. He struck four cows, and ended up in the east ditch.

Salter was hurt, and was transported to the hospital in Clay Center. It was not immediately known if he was buckled up.

The crash happened at 10:40 Tuesday night on K15 Highway in rural Clay County seventeen miles south of Clay Center.
