A three vehicle rear-end crash on Interstate 70 near Salina Sunday morning sends an elderly Manhattan couple to the hospital.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 89-year-old Maureen Woellhof was driving a Toyota SUV west on the interstate. As she appoached an area where traffic was being rerouted due to a wreck, she rear-ended a car, pushing it a third vehicle.
Woellhof and a passenger, 92-year-old Ivan Woellhof, were both transported to Salina Regional Health Center with possible injuries. Both were buckled up.
No one in either of the other two other vehicles was hurt.
The crash happened at 9:29 Sunday morning on Interstate 70, 1.1 miles west of the junctiom with Interstate 135.
