Car Stolen from Crash Site

KSAL StaffMarch 3, 2014

A man’s possessions are stolen after a crash on the interstate.

Authorities say David Isaac of Abilene was a passenger in a truck pulling a U-Haul car dolly southbound to Tulsa when the truck skidded and rolled near the Bridgeport exit on I-135 Saturday afternoon at about 1pm.

Deputies say the vehicle and trailer separated when the truck rolled. The truck was a total loss and was towed away. The trailer with the1995 Honda Civic on board was pushed off the road and with the icy conditions it slid into the ditch.

When they returned to the location on Sunday at 5:30pm, the car and trailer were gone.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that the Civic was packed full of his possessions.

Total loss is listed at $4,200.
