Salina Police Log 3-3-2016

A burglary and several forgeries highlight Thursday’s Salina Police Log.

  • Police arrested 27-year-old Steven Bishop on Wednesday on a warrant. He is accused of stealing a couple of checks, forging them, and cashing them at two different Salina banks. Total loss is $987. Bishop could face charges that include forgery and theft.
  • Police arrested 35-year-old Justin Genua on Wednesday on a warrant.  He is accused of stealing checks from a 71-year-old woman and forging four of them to make purchases back in March and April of last year. Total loss is $365.32. Genua could face charges that include forgery and theft.
  • Police arrested 53-year-old Maxwell Schefffler on Wednesday on a warrant. He is accused of a burglary last August in which various household items were stolen from a house and shed while a woman was in the process of moving. A portion of the stolen items have been recovered. Scheffler could face charges that include burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
