A man and woman are jailed as suspects in the killing earlier this week of a 68-year-old Manhattan man.

Riley County police announced Thursday that the 49-year-old woman and 33-year-old man, both of Manhattan, were arrested at the county police department on possible first-degree murder charges. They are each being held on $1 million bond.

Police discovered the body of John Burroughs Sunday at a rural Manhattan home. Investigators have not released further details about the death.
