The Heat Is Beat, Cooler Weather Arrives

After multiple days of triple digit extreme heat, cooler weather arrived early Sunday morning in Kansas.

According to the National Weather Service, cooler weather will persist through at least next weekend. Daytime highs will be in the 80s, with overnight lows in the 60s.

The extreme heat did not go quietly. On Saturday Salina tied a record for the warmest low temperature. The low on Saturday in Salina was 79 degrees, tying a record for warmest low temperature set back in 1955.
