The Force is strong in Salina.

Much like other locations around the country, Star Wars movie fans are lining up to see the premier of new movie in the franchise, “Star Wars The Force Awakens.”

Starplex Cinema Manager Tammy Kromer tells KSAL that several hundred tickets to the premier sold in advance.

Many who bought tickets were lined up by late Thursday afternoon outside the theatres at the Central Mall.  The first person in line was there by 1:00.

Kromer says that tickets are still available, and that she is confident that no one will be turned away. She is prepared to show “Star Wars The Force Awakens” in all theaters.
