UPDATE: Shots Fired Friday Afternoon

Police are investigating an incident where shots were fired in Central Salina early Friday afternoon.

Sgt. Jim Feldman, at a media briefing, told KSAL News that the incident happened at around 12:30, in the 1300 block of West Crawford Street, in the vicinity of First Bank Kansas and the Hair Loft.  An unknown person fired multiple shots from a handgun.

Feldman says that it’s unknown who, or what, was being targeted.  Along with recovering shell casings, police found a sign that had been hit, along with a building about a block and a half away in Sunset Plaza that had been hit. There were no signs of any injuries.

The only description of the shooter is that it was possibly a white male.

Police temporarily blocked off portions of the road as they gathered evidence.

Complete details are not yet available, but multiple shots were fired. No one was hurt.

Police temporarily blocked off portions of the road as they gathered evidence.
