Salina Robber Behind Bars

A Salina man is charged in connection to an armed robbery in July.

Police arrested 21-year-old Jason Carlin on Thursday after the investigation led officers to his location.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that back on July 29th, Carlin allegedly entered the Casey’s convenience store, 500 N. Ohio just after midnight with a bandanna over his face.

While holding a silver pistol at his side he told the clerk to hand over the money from inside the register, and then fled on foot.

Police used store video and interviews to identify him as the suspect.

Carlin is now facing a charge of aggravated robbery.
