Salina Police Log 8-3-16

A Girl Scout got to close to a parade float during Tuesday night’s march down Santa Fe. Police say the 14-year-old girl sustained a broken bone on her right foot after the tire on a trailer/float rolled over her big toe.

 

Police are investigating a forgery case after an audit revealed a woman’s checking account number had been used to make bogus blank checks. Police say someone purchased items from K-Mart on July 21 in the amount of $875. Julie Fritz contacted the bank police after checking her statements.

 

A clerk at the Lonestar Convenience Store, 100 N. Broadway was scammed over the phone just after midnight on July 23. The caller claimed they were with Verizon and convinced staff to print out and read to them the PIN numbers on seven calling cards. Loss is listed at $400.
