Police are investigating after a man in his 40’s was assaulted and robbed in his room at the Airliner Motel, 781 N. Broadway on Saturday afternoon just after 5pm. The victim told officers that two men knocked on his door – then kicked it in and assaulted him and also pointed a pistol at him before 7 to 10 other male suspects rushed into the room and hit him. Police say he had scratches and bruises on his face. The assailants reportedly took a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police arrested 24-year-old Robert Adams of Salina on charges of aggravated battery after an altercation at an apartment in the 700 block of Fairdale on Friday at about 10:15pm. Police say Adams hit a neighbor on face with a stick causing a cut above his lip that required stitches at the hospital.
