Police are investigating the theft of two bicycles from a downtown bike rack. Police say two 20-inch BMX bikes that were locked up with one chain in a rack located in the 100 block of West Walnut were stolen on Monday night sometime between 11:35pm and 11:51pm. The custom black BMX is valued at $600 while the blue,white and purple frame BMX is worth a reported $400.

A Salina woman called police after Discover Card contacted her about suspected fraudulent use of her card in Kansas City, Kansas. Police say someone obtained her card number and on two occasions in mid-November purchased furniture from the Nebraska Furniture Mart for a total of $2,769.
