Salina Downtown Inc Announces New Executive Director

A new executive director is taking over Salina Downtown Inc.

According to the organization, Melissa Rose Hodges has been hired as the new Executive Director. According to Russel Prophet, SDI President, “We are excited that Melissa has accepted the position and we are looking forward to working with her beginning in September.”

Rose Hodges is a lifelong resident of Salina with a multi generation family history of business and property ownership in downtown Salina.

Melissa says, “I know I am taking over an organization that is in a strong position and look forward to continuing to promote and develop downtown Salina.”

Melissa will be joining Penny Bettles, Administrative Assistant, in the SDI office at 120 West Ash Street following Labor Day. Please stop in and welcome her to the staff.

They can play this up all they want but it looks to be they are picking from the bottom of the barrel. All they been able to do is get bars and second hand stores along with tat shops. Let us not forget the COZY INN home of the $1.09 hamburger bun with a quarter size piece of meat. Downtown is really great and she will do no better than the ones who tried ahead of her..
