A couple of runaways from Texas were found near Salina Sunday.
Authorities say that Sunday afternoon a 16-year-old male and 13-year-old female were found on Interstate 135 after receiving a call saying a male teenager had shoved a female into a vehicle.
When authorities arrived, they concluded there was no crime but rather the teens were “fooling around”.
The teens had previously been reported missing from Springfield, Texas. They are alleged to have taken a vehicle, and had been driving since Saturday night around 10. The teens ran out of fuel near Salina.
The vehicle belongs to the female’s grandmother.
Both were arrested on possible theft charges.
