Rolling Hills Zoo Ready For Pumpkin PaZoola

Rolling Hills Zoo has a fun fall event planned for this weekend. The zoo’s Pumpkin PaZoola is Saturday.

According to the zoo, Pumpkin PaZoola is a pumpkin-themed festival for all ages to celebrate the fall season with fun activities for the whole family while enjoying all the animals at Rolling Hills Zoo.

All kids age twelve and under will receive half-price admission with a paid adult. Some of the free activities lined up for kids at the event include picking a free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch (while supplies last), live music and DJ entertainment by Nashville recording artist Dusty Workman, three giant inflatables, pumpkin decorating and pumpkin–themed games throughout the park. Keeper talks will also be taking place throughout the day.

In addition to a full menu available at the Overlook Restaurant, Skip’s Concessions and Papa Murphy’s pizza will be on hand with plenty of food.

Stop by the face painting booths for a cheek or full face work of art. Zoo Teens will be selling caramel apples by the Giraffe feed station and Russell’s kettle corn, a PaZoola favorite, will be available at the tamarin island gazebo.

CityGo buses will also be providing transportation to and from Rolling Hills Zoo on Saturday. Pick up will be located at the main transfer station located at Walnut Avenue and 7th Street at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Return runs will pick up from the Zoo at 10:15 a.m., 12:15, and 3:15 p.m. A special daily Zoo Pass can be purchased for $2 anywhere in the city with transfers to the main station. Drop off and pickup location at Rolling Hills Zoo is located at the east entrance to the Wildlife Museum.

The activities for Pumpkin PaZoola begin at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. Pumpkin PaZoola is also sponsored by Saint Francis Community Services, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Casey’s General Store, Kennedy & Coe, U.S. Cellular, and Welborn Sales.
