Salina Police are investigating a theft case after being contacted by an 83-year-old woman who told officers that her jewelry collection was stolen from her home in the 600 block of Huehl. Police say there is no sign of forced entry and that the woman has had several acquaintances over to her home in the past month. Loss is listed at $4,000.

Thieves steal a video game controller and prescription drugs in residential burglary in the 900 block of Smith. Police say the crime occurred sometime Monday between 10am and 3pm after someone forced a door open and removed a Sony Play Station 3 and five games. Total loss and damage is listed at $534.
